On the morning of Thursday 7th March, strange sights were seen at Woodstock School.  Harry Potter, the Mad Hatter and Wally were all seen emerging from taxis.  It must be World Book Day!!  First thing the children all gathered in the hall for our World Book Day assembly in which staff read passages from their favourite books, followed by a costume parade.  A panel of judges awarded book tokens to the best costumes in each class.  After the prizes were awarded, we had the ‘Woodstock Story Telling Session’.   All was quiet as staff members read stories to the children all over the school. At the end of the morning, Our winners visited Waterstones to spend their book tokens on books of their choice. It was a wonderful celebration of our love of books and reading at Woodstock.
