The Short Breaks scheme for these schools is changing, with this Easter being the last of the current contract. The current system can't carry on as several schools have a lot of building work planned, so the commissioners want to hear from parents about what we want. There will be very different needs for the different schools, so please come along to a special schools session on THURSDAY APRIL 4th from 10:30 to 12:00 at the Phoenix Centre, 5 Russell Town Ave, Redfield, Bristol, BS5 9LT to give us your views.

There is a free car park and buses 36, 36a, 6, 7 and 42-45 stop nearby.  Please let us know if you can attend either by calling or texting 07914 320540 and leaving a message or by emailing Bristol Parent Carers.  If you can't make the meeting but would like to submit comments, please feel free to do so via email or our facebook page

St Paul's Adventure Playground St Pauls Adventure playground is hosting weekly, free of charge Saturday morning 'stay and play' sessions for SEND children and their siblings.  The stay and play approach means that children must be accompanied by a parent or adult carer.  The nature of the playground and its associated activities means that these sessions would best suit those aged 5 to 15 years however we would be very happy for parents to use their own discretion if their children are outside of this age range. These sessions take place between 10.00am and midday every week including school holidays (except Christmas).  We have secured funding to run these sessions for two years and we hope that this can build into something more sustainable longer term.  There is plenty of on-street free parking and we have 2 fully access toilets plus a kitchen that is free to use.   We have lots of accessible and sensory play equipment and our 3 on site staff are trained and experienced in this field.  We hope to see you at the playground soon!

 First Aid

Teaching children about safety starts from the first time we tell them "no" as they're reaching for the hot stove. There's no reason to stop there. Kids have an incredible capacity to learn, so teach them how to be safe and how to react when emergencies happen.People have accidents or are suddenly taken ill every day of the year. By learning first aid, children are empowered to look after themselves and each other.See our First aid tips below to help educate your children.
